In some cases, the amount you make from online surveys is beyond your control.

You can’t, of course, convince a survey site to pay you more money per survey.

However, there are some things you can do to maximize your earnings!

Hardly anyone makes a full-time income from survey sites alone, but many people are making enough to help them pay off debt, afford groceries every month, or even put into savings for their kids’ college funds.

If you want to make an amount of money taking surveys that will really have an impact on your life, then there are a few key things you need to do.

A lot of sites won’t talk about them, but you will learn all about them here.

Let me tell you about the basics you need to cover first, and then we’ll get into some more tips and tricks to maximize your earnings.

Plus, I have the highest paying survey sites listed in this guide, so look no further for real money-making opportunities!

The Basics

The following things are the basics that you’re in control of when it comes to making money with surveys!

The Profile and Initial Invitations

Your DemographicsFirst of all, if you haven’t completed your profiles yet, you need to do it ASAP.

Fill them out properly. If you have any questions, I have tips for you on this site.

Most people don’t realize how important their profiles are.

They directly impact the survey invitations you get. If your profile isn’t filled out completely, there’s a good chance you may not get a lot of invites, which means you’ll make less money.

Survey sites rely on the information in your profile to match you with new opportunities.

The algorithms comb profiles to find keywords that match the type of people the surveys need.

If you didn’t take time to answer the profile questionnaires and fill out your profile when you started, then you could already be missing invites to surveys you would have qualified for.

Once all of your survey profiles have been filled out, the next thing you need to do is check your inbox regularly.

Honestly this is a given, but it is even more important when starting out.

Unfortunately, many people sign up with a secondary email address so they don’t get inbox clutter.

Then they forget to check that inbox, so they end up missing a bunch of survey invites.

It’s a good idea to use the email address you use every day to sign up with so this doesn’t happen.

Be sure to take the first five to ten surveys you are invited to no matter what.

The first five to ten invitations you receive are used by the survey panels to see if you are serious or not.

That’s why it is extremely important to complete them regardless of what the payment or reward is.

You definitely want the panels to know that you are serious about actively participating.

Once this has been established you will begin to see better and more invitations in your inbox.

Pay attention while you are taking these initial surveys.

Survey sites will use this time to find out for sure if you’re someone who rushed through surveys just to get paid or if you’re a valuable panelist who takes time to answer questions correctly.

The last thing you want is to be labeled as a poor participant right off the bat.

Profile Questions

A lot of survey panels will have additional questionnaires that you can complete once you finish your profile.

They aren’t usually mandatory, but it’s in your best interest to fill them out.

They’re usually called something like profile surveys or polls.

Panels use your answers to these questions to specify your demographic into a narrow niche, making it easier for the panel to match you with appropriate surveys.

Again, it’s all in the name of getting more opportunities for surveys that are relevant to you and making more money.

Answer these questions honestly because a lot of them are repeated in screener surveys to make sure you’re taking your time and ensuring accuracy.

Your Honesty

Speaking of honesty, this is something you absolutely can’t skip when you’re taking surveys!

When a survey flags you as answering questions dishonestly (yes, they’ll do this – the technology is pretty amazing!), you’ll get disqualified from taking the full survey.

You could even be in the middle of the survey and have this happen if you get flagged.

That means you’ve wasted your time answering questions only to not even get a reward at the end.

It’s tempting to fib on screener questions when you know the survey is looking for specific answers, but this never turns out well.

Not only can you get booted from that survey, but if you continuously disqualify from surveys for being dishonest, then you may stop getting invited to that panel’s surveys at all.

Your Strategy

Now, let’s talk strategy.

The way you take surveys and join sites are factors that are just as important to your earnings as the sites you join.

Knowing What Sites to Join

Survey PanelsThe first part of your strategy should be to join the best survey panels out there.

That means joining ones that both pay well and have an excellent reputation for actually paying their members!

I have put together a list of the 8 best panels for you to start with below.

You should join as many of the best ones as you can, but it is possible to overload yourself.

It’s a good idea not to join more than five or so at a time.

You can always test out those panels for a while and see if they’re good for you.

If not, join some more and stop using the ones that you never get invites from.

By cutting things off at between five and ten panels, you will have to be selective and that is a good thing.

You don’t want invitations for low-value surveys cluttering your inbox.

This will also ensure that you have plenty of high-quality invitations to choose from every day.

It takes you one step closer to reaching your monetary goals.

The sites you pick may not be the same as your survey-taking friends because your demographics are different.

What works for you may not work for others, so only you can figure out the survey panel combination that makes you the most money.

Once you have it narrowed to your top five or so, stick with them! The more you actively participate, the better your chances of getting more invites and making more money.

It’s also a good idea to try some GPT sites in addition to survey sites.

GPT simply means “Get Paid To”. These are sites that pay you to do several different tasks in addition to surveys, like watching videos, playing games, and referring your friends.

The great thing about GPT sites is that there are so many ways to earn, so even if it’s a slow period for surveys, you’ll have plenty of other things to do to still accumulate some cash.

No matter what, be sure to do your research before joining a site.

See what other members have to say (Reddit is a great resource for researching opinions from real panel members!) and take some time to read the FAQ, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy of each site.

Points vs. Cash

The next part of this strategy is a little more complicated.

Since some panels don’t put a clear cash value on each survey, you need to come up with some kind of conversion system when points are involved.

A lot of panels use a point system and once you have so many points you can choose to exchange them for cash.

The problem is that the conversion is different for every survey panel.

By making your own system or table you will be able to immediately tell which surveys are more valuable even when they came from different panels.

Since there are so many panels and new ones are always popping up it wouldn’t make much sense to list them here.

The list would become outdated very quickly.

However, I will tell you how to make your own table.

What you want to do is figure out how many points it takes to make one dollar. Begin by making a table with two columns in a spreadsheet program of your choice.

Google Sheets is 100% free and very easy to use.

On the left side, put the name of the panel.

Label the right column something like points needed for one dollar.

You should be able to find this information on the panel’s website in the FAQ section, but some panels don’t make it as easy to find.

In that case, go to the rewards page and see how many points you’d need to exchange for a $1 gift card.

Then fill in the right side with the number of points you need from each panel to make one dollar.

Once you have the table completed, you will be able to quickly and easily see which surveys from which panels are actually paying the most.

It will really simplify the process of deciding which ones to take when you have time available.

Using Your Time Wisely

Last but not least, you’ll need to learn how to make the most of your time when you take surveys online.

Not everyone has hours every week to devote to online surveys.

But the more time you spend taking them, the more you can obviously earn.

You’ll need to decide what works best for you and makes you the most money and work that into your strategy.

Maybe spending a couple of hours a day after work is better for you than spending most of your weekend taking surveys.

Maybe you have the most invites coming your way early in the morning, so you have the best chance of earning rewards from surveys if you get up an hour or two earlier and take them then.

It may take a few months to get into a routine as a beginner, but after some trial and error, you’ll find out what works for you.

What are the Best Paid Survey Websites for High Rewards?

Want to make some free money fast?

These paid survey sites are among the highest-paying ones you’ll find on the web.

They have a good reputation of paying members on time and give you some excellent rewards for the amount of time you spend answering questions.

Look no further than this list for the best survey websites that pay the most!

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a favorite of mine for its surveys and many other ways to earn points.

It’s a GPT site, but it has a lot of surveys available. In fact, there are usually new surveys to take every day here.

One of the best things about Swagbucks is that you don’t need many points to cash out one of the many gift card rewards on the site.

There are several choices for low-payment gift cards that only need a few hundred points, and most arrive in your inbox within a couple of days.

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research has one of the best reputations in the survey world for giving generous payout amounts for its surveys.

Most surveys are worth at least $2, which is far better than many of the $0.10 to $0.50 offers you see.

Pinecone Research is also known for its fast payments, too, making it one of the best options for online surveys.

CashCrate

CashCrate is another GPT site that offers surveys as one of the ways to make money.

When you sign up, you’ll have access to the Top Surveys page, which will give you a chance to take surveys with the highest payments at that time.

Many of them are at least $2, and some are $5 or more.

Ipsos i-Say

Not only is Ipsos i-Say one of the most active survey sites around, but it also offers some great rewards including cash, gift cards, and FREE products.

The site is also known for its focus groups where you can spend a couple of hours with in-depth surveys but make a lot more money than a traditional survey – like $20 or more!

Another benefit of this panel is that most surveys have quick qualification processes so you’ll spend less time qualifying and more time earning.

Toluna

Toluna has been around for a long time.

It’s still one of the most popular survey sites.

It pays in points, and you get between 3,000 and 6,000 points for most surveys, which equates to $1 to $3 per survey.

The are tons of rewards to choose from, most starting with 30,000 points, or $10, to cash out.

MyPoints

On MyPoints, you can earn points for surveys, cash offers, cash shopping, and more.

The points translate to cash when you turn them in for one of several gift card rewards.

This site is known to pay up to $50 for its long surveys, and you can even get a $5 bonus when you complete your first five surveys.

Even shorter surveys here that won’t take more than 10 minutes to complete can give you around 75 to 100 points.

SurveyClub

SurveyClub has a wide range of survey offerings of many different lengths and payouts, making it a good option for you to find a survey no matter how much time you have to spare.

Shorter surveys pay about $1 to $2, while longer surveys pay $100 or more!

Mindswarms

Mindswarms is a unique type of survey panel that I think is worth mentioning here.

Instead of the typical worded questionnaire, this site focuses on video surveys.

They’ll work similarly in that they’ll ask you questions about products and services you use or your opinions about new ones.

However, you’ll answer the questions on video rather than via an online questionnaire!

Most surveys won’t be more than 7 questions, and you’ll get paid a flat $50 every time.

[wps_conclusion-without-button title=”Recap: How to Find the Highest Paying Online Surveys” style=”card-success”]

These strategies are basic, but they do work.

Sign up for the best panels and pick the best survey invitations. Use your conversion table to see which invitations will give you the most money.

Start with the most valuable surveys and work your way down until you run out of time for the day.

Do this, and you will see much better results than simply trying to pick random invitations.

Your earnings every month will show it!

And, try out some of the highest-paying panels in this list to see how they work for you.

You might be pleasantly surprised by how much you can potentially earn every month with a little strategy on the right survey sites.

Good luck!
