I’m Rebecca Slater and I have a healthy stream of extra income from online surveys. Chances are you are in the same position I was though.
You’ve probably heard that you can make money taking surveys online. Maybe you’ve even signed up with a site and completed a few surveys. You probably didn’t get the cash you wanted or expected though.
Well, the good news is that I can help with that, and no, it won’t cost you anything. First, let me tell you a little bit about how I got to where I am today.
My Story
I’m just a regular guy really. I work a normal 9 to 5 job and get paid hourly. Most times that’s just fine. However, when my hours got cut due to the economy I had to find a way to make ends meet.
Oddly enough, when I got a pay cut the bills kept rolling in just like always. The bills didn’t get any smaller either. That’s weird right? Yeah, that’s what I thought too.
Anyway, I needed to find a way to make money that I could do in my spare time that didn’t cost anything to get started. I was already strapped, so putting money into a side business was out of the question.
I heard there were a lot of ways to make money on the internet so I started poking around. Most of the opportunities out there take some cash to get started. Whether they are legitimate or not, I don’t know. I knew they weren’t a good option for me. Eventually I stumbled onto paid surveys.
It seemed like paid surveys were exactly what I was looking for. They don’t take much time, there are no obligations, and you don’t have to travel. They also don’t require any kind of investment to get started.
The Problems
There was one big problem though. With so many different survey sites and offers, I had no idea how to start or the best way to do it. So, I did what any normal guy would do.
I started randomly signing up for every survey site I could find and trying them out. Needless to say, I wasted a lot of time and ended up very disappointed in most cases.
Eventually I began to see which survey sites were the best. I also asked around on message boards to see what sites others were having success with.
Over time I compiled a pretty good list of legitimate survey sites and those are the ones I rely on today. It took a good bit of time, a few headaches, and a lot of frustration, but in the end it was worth it.
While I was mapping out the survey world, I ran into quite a few pitfalls. If you don’t know what you’re doing you can end up on the outside looking in before you know it. As you probably know, any situation like this is frustrating when there’s money on the line.
After some research into these problems, I noticed that a lot of people ran into the same things. At this point I decided to do the smart thing, learn from their mistakes instead of my own.
I can’t say exactly how much time I’ve saved because of this, but I know it’s a lot! When it comes to taking surveys, there are no unique problems. If you run into it then I can guarantee somebody before you has had the same problem.
Another issue I ran into was how to take surveys effectively and how to make the amount of extra money I wanted. Too many people go about this without a plan and that’s just sad.
They could increase their earnings so easily, just like I did. If you try to do this haphazardly you can waste quite a bit of time and you may not even be able to get the results you want. A little strategy goes a long way when you’re taking surveys.
